This winter, Alex Hughes, Director of Instruction at the Royal Ashburn Performance Centre, is taking game improvement indoors at 701 Indoor Golf Simulators in Whitby with the launch of our 2027 Winter Academy programs. A PGA of Canada Professional and TPI Certified Instructor (Golf Levels 1 & 2), Alex brings years of coaching, playing and performance experience to every session. His approach goes beyond simply hitting balls; he works with each golfer to understand their swing, identify opportunities for improvement and build a plan that creates real, measurable progress.
The Winter Performance Academy is designed to keep golfers engaged and improving throughout the off-season. With structured coaching, simulator technology and Alex’s personalized approach to instruction, winter becomes an opportunity to make a real difference when you step back onto the course in spring.

This winter, Kalan Dowrich will be offering personalized club fittings through the Royal Ashburn Performance Centre, helping golfers get their equipment dialled in and ready for the season ahead.
Certified through Titleist University, PING Academy and TrackMan University, Kalan combines technical equipment knowledge with a personalized, data-driven approach to fitting. Whether you’re looking for a brand-new set, considering a driver upgrade, fine-tuning your numbers or simply wondering if your current clubs are really right for you, Kalan will help you understand the data and find equipment that complements your individual swing and game.
