The Royal Ashburn Learn to Compete program is designed to improve the abilities of young golfers and foster a lifelong love for the game. Twice weekly group sessions will provide opportunities for juniors to not only develop their skills but also make friends and connect with other young golfers. Through a comprehensive curriculum covering all aspects of the game, including long game, short game, and on-course play, participants will learn the ins and outs of competition, scoring, playing skills, and golf rules. Join us for a transformative golf experience that will leave you inspired and eager to continue your journey in the sport.

Ages 12-16
Our Junior Performance Team is designed to give players the support they need to compete at the highest level. Graduates of the Royal Ashburn have achieved impressive results, including victories on regional tours, selection to Team Ontario, and even securing Division 1 scholarships in the US. A holistic approach to golf development, helping players develop their technique, enhance their playing skills, implement effective on-course strategies, and improve their ability to score. Players will be loaned a team bag for the season, and have access to Trackman and V1 pressure mat to take advantage of the latest technology.

Our Junior Golf Clinics are designed to introduce young golfers to the fundamentals of the game, including movement skills and foster a passion for the sport. We start by honing in on short-game skills, gradually incorporating longer shots as the weeks progress. Join us for a fun golf experience!

The Girls Club is a fun and interactive program aimed at introducing girls aged 10 to 16 to the wonderful game of golf in a fun and supportive environment. Our experienced instructors will guide them through the correct movement patterns, ensuring they have a strong start in the sport they’ll love for years to come.

Transform your child’s golf skills and ignite their passion for the sport with our 5-day junior golf camps! Running Monday to Friday, from 9am to 4pm, our camps are designed to give young golfers a complete and fun-filled experience. Along with golf, campers will also have the opportunity to develop their athleticism through other sports and activities.

Coach Jon learned to play golf on a farm with only a club, a few balls and his imagination. Many hours of training and rounds of golf later, Coach Jon has been recognized as one of the top golf coaches for juniors in Canada. Along with being a former Team Ontario assistant coach and university coach, Jon was awarded the PGA of Ontario title of Junior Leader of the Year in 2018. Jon’s dynamic personality makes him a perfect fit for introducing young golfers to the sport, and he looks forward to working with all of our 2024 athletes.
Coach Brendon was born and raised in Scarborough and started working in the golf industry at 18. He graduated from Durham College with a Professional Golf/Business Administration diploma and has since worked at clubs like Cedar Brae Golf Club, Donalda Golf Club, and Whitevale Golf Club where he was an Assistant Professional for seven years. As a teaching professional, Coach Brendon is dedicated to helping golfers of all ages and skill levels achieve their goals.
